Low-Wage LMIA: New Changes Effective November 6, 2026
✅ Up to two years: Low-wage LMIA applications submitted on or after November 6, 2026, can now have a maximum duration of two years, increased from one year.
✅ Early childhood educators added to exceptions: Applications for these positions can now be processed in Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs) with unemployment rates of 6% or higher. Existing exceptions include healthcare, construction and food processing.
